Starting School
Your Child’s First Day
Each new child will be assigned a buddy from the class and will have a special cloakroom label and tote tray for their belongings. The first bell goes at 8.55am, and the second one at 9.00am, for the start of the school day. We ask that you arrive at about 8.45am to give your child a chance to settle and organise their things.
For the first two weeks of school, we ask that you pick your child up at 2pm, as the day is quite long for the small children and they get quite tired in a new environment.
Stationery and Equipment
You will be given a stationery list with your enrolment form, and are required to bring the stationery on the child’s first day.
Please also:
- provide a school bag (large enough to fit reading books and lunchbox)
- pack a sun hat (compulsory in terms 1 and 4)
- ensure that clothing and stationery is named.
