Kilbirnie School Swimming Festival
The School Swimming festival is for all children in Years 4-6 and is a qualifying event for participation at the Eastern Zones Swimming Competition (14 August). Any child hoping to qualify for this event MUST be present. It is also a fun participation event that provides an opportunity for all students to be involved.
WHEN: Wednesday 3 July
TIME: 10.00am – 12NOON
WHERE: Kilbirnie Aquatic Centre
WHAT: Races will be organised into two categories – competitive and non-competitive. Please discuss with your child beforehand which event they are going to participate in and ensure they are capable of swimming 25m in the 2m deep pool to participate in competitive. If your child is in an extension class for our swimming sessions this term they will be expected to enter some competitive events. Some of those in Learn to swim groups will also be able to swim competitively.
