BYOD information evening

The first meeting will be on Wednesday September 19th at 7.00pm.

Following a year of planning in 2017, we implemented a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative at Kilbirnie School this year. This initiative is part of our digital strategy and focuses on students who are in years 5 and 6. We would like to continue to discuss this exciting initiative with all interested parents and whanau of our school and will be providing several opportunities to meet at school, talk and become informed.

Please do attend these meetings if you are able, particularly if your child is in year 5 or 6 next year. Email or phone Liz in the school office to let us know you can attend. Refreshments will be available.

Content covered at the first meeting will include: · Why implement BYOD? · Our journey so far toward implementing BYOD · Our vision for classroom learning supported by 1:1 devices · Monitoring of children’s work and online activity · Policy regarding devices at school · Suggested devices
