We are committed to supporting and upholding our commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi. All classes incorporate aspects of Tikanga Maori in their school programme. Assistance from resource people to develop teaching and learning programmes in the school is sought periodically.

The school employs a part-time teacher to assist class teachers in the delivery of this programme. All classes have te reo instruction and kapa haka groups operate. We are intent on increasing the children’s knowledge of Maori protocol, particularly with mihi whakatau.
