Parentlink: Community Building and Fundraising

Who are we?

Parentlink are a group of parents who volunteer their time to help support and build our school community and to raise funds to support the school and our children's learning environment.

We welcome new members and encourage new ideas and skills from our school community.  

2017 Events:

The Parentlink Team coordinate and organise a number of events and fundraising opportunities over the year.

Term 2 - Runathon, Matariki Celebrations

Term 3 - School Disco, Art Te Aroha (Art auction night & exhibition)

Term 4 - School Market Night, Calendars

Where is the money being spent?

Each year we aim to raise $20,000 to support the school’s needs and occasionally unexpected expenditure.  

This year we will be fundraising towards furnishings to support our modern learning environments including carpet in the new library in addition to Artrageous Art Classes.  In 2016 we fundraised for soft furnishings for all classrooms school-wide and architectural plans for the senior block including the redevelopment of the toilets.  In 2015 we funded new netball uniforms, upgrades to the school grounds and facilities and Artrageous Art Classes for all students.  On a smaller scale we continue to subsidise t-shirts for sporting and cultural events. We also contribute to the senior student's Leavers Dinner and the Junior Christmas Party.
